Sailing Instruction for Women
- Classes are the American Sailing Association
level of standards.(www.American-Sailing.com)
- Each level is a prerequisite for the
next level. You may opt not to be certified. Customized
classes or private instruction aboard your own yacht can
be arranged.
- The prices are per person and include
all materials and fees for the certification.
- Class size is limited to 4 women.
- If you choose to live aboard, linens
and towels are provided. Meals are included and we do
everything possible to fulfill your culinary needs with
a food preference questionnaire.
- Each level of class is a 2-day
program; you may take them in succession and attain all
three levels of certification in 6 days OR take just one
level at a time.

Basic Keelboat
Standard 101 ASA
This class covers beginning sailing.
No previous experience required. Upon successful completion
you earn a National Safe Boating Certificate approved
by the US Coast Guard. With registration you receive the
Sailing Fundamentals book, ASA logbook and some practical
handouts. The class is Saturday and Sunday from 9-4. You
may live aboard at no additional charge. $400

Coastal Cruising
Standard 103 ASA
This class involves more details on
sail trim, anchoring, navigation and
Reefing. 101 is a prerequisite for the class. Live aboard
is optional, again at
no additional charge. Monday and Tuesday 9-5. $500.

Bareboat
Chartering Standard 104 ASA
This class covers all the below deck
systems and requirements to be a skipper of a 30-50 foot
boat in coastal waters. 103 is a prerequisite. You are
required to spend the night aboard.. Wednesday 9AM through
Thursday 5PM. $600
